Like all writers, I absolutely love reading.   


I began reviewing my books on Goodreads a few years ago and discovered that I really enjoyed creating both a record and a review blog of my reading.    What started life as a few sentences began to expand and I took part in the Author Reviews program with Online Book Club while designing this site and am now listed in FeedSpot's Top 100 Book Blogs.

 

As well as independent requests, I write freelance Editorial Reviews for two online publications and, when time permits, review for Reedsy, BookSirens and NetGalley.  I am also part of the Amazon Influencer program and my storefront with recommendation lists can be accessed here

I am a self-published Author so am extremely aware of the importance of reviews.   I fully appreciate how hard it can be to connect with genuine, honest reviewers which is another reason why I began to formally review and blog.

  • Historical Fiction

  • Literary Fiction 


No Chick-Lit, Children’s, Fantasy, Political, Religious, Science-Fiction, Self-Help or YA books, please. 

 

Please use the contact form, stating ‘Review Request’ in your Subject Header.  Please include a brief summary of your book and any other details for consideration (target audience, genre, length etc..). Please do not attach your work with your initial enquiry.   If I am able to review your work, I will advise turnaround time.  

 

I accept work in the following formats:  mobi, epub, .pdf, and via Amazon gift for Kindle (if UK).

I do not make any charge for my reviews but would appreciate that you subscribe to my blog if you wish your work reviewed.     

This box is checked for ease on the contact form.

I will email the review to yourself first, but please note this is for your information and not for amendment. 

 

All reviews will be posted here, Goodreads, Twitter and Amazon.co.uk.   You are welcome to use my review for your own personal website/social media, as long as this blog and website are referenced.

I will always endeavour to provide a fair, unbiased and honest review.  If I feel that your work is simply not for me; I could not engage with it (and reading is subjective so it happens), I will email and advise.   If I consider there are issues (spelling/grammar/plot inconsistencies or nonsense) that would also render my review below 3 or 2 stars, I will email you to discuss.
