** spoiler alert ** I nice little whodunit, well written and paced. The solution, I felt, was a little more complex than it needed to be. I wanted to see more repercussions for Virginia Barkeley and her Mother and the story moves away from them quite early on. Also, I found the relationship between Meecham and Alice, a complete bolt from the blue and not a welcome one. It didn't seem to serve any purpose to the story and was unbelievable, it was, for me, a weak plot moment. A bit more backstory for Meecham would have been good too. But, all in all, a decent, entertaining read.
